"We have found the opportunity through Inspiration Ministries to express not just our feelings but also the words that the Holy Spirit puts in our hearts to share with others. I see I.M. as a channel of communication between the church...read more

Letter from the Editor
“Up from the grave He arose” I belted out this morning at Auburn’s annual men’s Lenten breakfast. This is a time of fellowship and worship with men from every denomination to honor Jesus Christ…His person, His sacrifice, and His resurrection. Hallelujah!
Upon that cross Christ carried our guilt, shame, sin, and the weight of the world. I have had to be reminded of that continually throughout this busy season. Preparing for a wedding, the grand reopening of Upword Living
Christian Bookstore, running the café with Kirsten, and staying on top of all that goes on with Inspiration Ministries is becoming more daunting every day. I feel like I have coffee running through my veins and I am perpetually have this tension in my body. “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” Lord, I need that rest right now.
Brethren, regardless of what side of the wall you are on, the messages of perilous times, the world’s end, and Christ’s return seem to dominate conversations. The fact is that we are in a time that the world has never seen before, and events around the world seem to point us towards Jesus’ return. And in the midst of that, life moves on day by day…I will give you rest.
It has almost been two years ago this month since we started the initial work for the café because we believed God was going to use it as a part of the stability of Inspiration and praise God He continues to use this ministry to minister to the lost, addicted, hurt, and disconnected. What an awesome experience it has been as well to see brothers and sisters catching the wind of revival that is blowing ever so subtly right now throughout DeKalb County. What a blessing to see hearts stirred in the name of Jesus. And we want more! We want to worship more, pray more, see Him more, and hear Him more…I will give you rest.
And each busy day, whether the to-do list is finished or not, we remain dependent on the Lord just as you are in your relationship with Christ. I may not have to wear a blue suit anymore or walk those familiar yellow lines, but the enemy is quick to remind me of my past in an attempt to stifle me and this ministry. But the Holy Spirit reinvigorates me with the knowledge that it is not me that lives anymore, but a risen Savior…I will give you rest.
Church, let us take our rest in His triumph. Let us celebrate His victory. Let us breathe easy knowing that the tomb is empty and Christ Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven still reaching out His hand making an offer of salvation and restoration. Come, please, come…I will give you rest.
Inspired by Him!
