Letter from the Editor

Is it just me or has this summer gone by incredibly fast? I know for those of you on the other side of the wall, you don’t mind the days, weeks, and months flying by! Inspiration Ministries is ready to head into fall with some exciting plans and lots on the schedule and we hope that you will be in prayer with us so that through the busyness of it all, God is glorified and that it is Kingdom work that is on our minds.

Coming up in just a few weeks here in Auburn we are celebrating our 2nd Annual Inspiration MusicFest. The buzz is happening in town and on the radio and we are expecting a great turnout. We have asked for your participation in telling us how Inspiration has inspired you, and we want to thank you for the responses. We have received over two hundred letters these past couple months and what encourages me most is that some just write from the heart about how God has used the newsletter to minister to them and others. Paul B from WCI wrote “Every issue of the IM newsletter has something in it that is timely and ministers directly to my situation or struggles. I’ve also passed it along to others that say the same thing. IM is a conduit God uses.” I also appreciate James T. from WVCF who wrote this great testimony, “So many are lost. I used to be lost. I don’t want to live that life anymore; with Jesus I don’t have to.” Hallelujah!

These are the testimonies that keep IM grounded in the fact that ministry is about people, not things… about the Kingdom, not organizations. This past Sunday, we participated in the Ashley/Hudson Days tent revival and were so blessed by the wonderful hospitality, fellowship, and opportunity to see a young man give his life to the Lord. Caleb said, “I am going to be a mess,” and I said, “That is exactly where God wants you.” Praise God for His increase and His faithfulness to draw men and women to Himself.

Over the next 8 weeks, we have 2 huge concerts and 2 fairs, we potentially have a team coming soon to work on the Discipleship floor, and conversations are ever-stirring about transitional development. It is a lot to prepare for, but we know God has put us in a position to be a part of His work in Auburn and the Northeast Indiana region. Please pray for God to send laborers to join the team.

Brethren, we pray that you have placed Jesus as the Keystone of your life. There is so much uncertainty in the world, but if we allow Christ to be our foundation, we will not be shaken in the midst of life’s storms. Allow the Holy Spirit to use you as a conduit for life, peace, and love. Thank you, Jesus! Inspired because I am found,

Andrew L. Foster, Inspiration Ministries, Director

  • robert miller"A year ago my world was shifted. I was discouraged, alone, and in need of something/someone to embrace me. It would be pious to say, “All I needed was the assurance that the Lord was with me,” because reality is sometimes you don’t feel that more

  • david owen"The newsletter is an integral part of my daily spiritual walk in prison. I don’t say that lightly and here’s why: “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV). The newsletter is primarily written by prisoners and ex-prisoners for more
