Letter from the Editor

What a story the Lord has written not only for Inspiration Ministries, but for my life. On December 18, I will be celebrating four years since my release from the Florida Department of Corrections with nothing but a vision for ministry and a promise of provision from God. I certainly regret and have surrendered my past life that landed me in prison for five years; however, I would not take back a second of the time I had behind those walls to grow in my faith and be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ saved my life and surrounded me with brothers that sewed into my life to make me the man, husband, and father that I now am.

You are reading our 47th official newsletter. Hallelujah! A newsletter that started with 100 on the mailing list is now reaching almost 4,000 men and women all around the country…Indiana, Florida, Hawaii, California…Amen! We have been so blessed to honor God with the testimonies He has written in this newsletter. So we ask that you will be in prayer with us as we enter a new season with the Inspiration Ministries monthly newsletter. In 2016 we are going to step up our effort to reach more prisons with a focus on women’s prisons. We recently received confirmation from 16 women’s prisons around the country that want to receive the newsletter. So, we will be producing a women’s newsletter. The men’s newsletter will now be titled Inspired by Him and will be published in the odd months of the year starting in January while Inspiration for Her will be published in the even months. It is an exciting new undertaking. We still need fresh material in order to reach others for Christ with the newsletter. Continue to write and send articles as you feel led. It is a blessing to hear from you.

For all you scrooges out there, be reminded that this season is not about gifts, trees, celebrations, nor is it even about family. It is about celebrating the One who came to save our souls. We serve a God that knew that the only solution to the sin problem in our lives was for Him to come to the Earth to take our place on the cross! Thank you, Jesus! That is worth celebrating. No amount of gloom can squelch the excitement that comes from salvation in Jesus Christ.

Brother and Sisters, on behalf of all of us with Inspiration Ministries, we wish you a Merry Christmas and an incredible New Year. Join us in believing for a new and fresh season of spirit and service for the Lord. The Lord may be returning soon, so we are going to have our hands on the plow until He does, proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people. We are in this together. We love you and Jesus loves you!

Be inspired by Jesus Christ, the Reason for the season,

Andrew L. Foster

  • james rogers jr"When I met Anthony Ponds, James Summers, and Rigdel De Lardilles back in 2011, I heard a lot about Brother Andrew Foster, and the Inspiration Ministries movement here at Quincy. But not only did I hear about him and ministry more

  • robert miller"A year ago my world was shifted. I was discouraged, alone, and in need of something/someone to embrace me. It would be pious to say, “All I needed was the assurance that the Lord was with me,” because reality is sometimes you don’t feel that more

  • david owen"The newsletter is an integral part of my daily spiritual walk in prison. I don’t say that lightly and here’s why: “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV). The newsletter is primarily written by prisoners and ex-prisoners for more

  • rigdel de lardilles 01"In one word, the Inspiration Newsletter to me means Hope. If anyone has ever done time behind the walls or been down and out, you can relate; there is always someone there to let you know just how bad you messed up, or how impossible it's going to be to bounce more
