2015: Volume 4

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and
the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. Revelation 21:6-7

Letter from the Editor

Spring is around the corner, Brethren, and with it new life and the celebration of Easter as we rejoice in knowing that Jesus is the Messiah, the risen Lord. He was the Lily in the field who took on the punishment of death for our sins so that we may have life. Hallelujah! Lord, let it begin with me.

So, it gives me great joy to say that our own LillyAnn may be here within the next weeks to change Inspiration Ministries forever, or at least maybe the director of IM. I am going to be a DAD! Wow. I was sharing with my brother, Anthony Ponds, last night that if there is one thing I want to get right and honor God with it is being a father. Lilly is already kicking when I sing to her or pray for her, so we know that the Holy Spirit is doing a great work to fashion our little girl. Kirsten and I are about as ready as we are going to be, so be in prayer that April’s newsletter brings news about our bundle of joy.

And what would be better than the story of new life we got to experience a couple weeks ago when Joe Brown walked in our doors right out of jail being sick and tired of being sick and tired. Typical to many of our own testimonies, Joe came face to face with his own end. He had attempted to make a go of life by his own strength, reputation, money, and will-power and finally realized that his best result still ended with him walking out of the county jail. It was time for a change, and Joe made a decision that day to allow Jesus to be the author and finisher of that change. Hallelujah!

The Lord has IM in one of the best seasons we have ever seen. We are ministering and serving more people each day, and in our attempt to unify the “Big C” church, we have developed relationships with most of our community churches. The classrooms upstairs have brought more Bible study and discipleship under the roof, and we have been blessed with volunteers to continue in the stewardship of the building. We ask for your prayers, Brothers and Sisters, as we explore the possibility of starting a small housing project. Pray with us that we are making Spirit-lead decisions about God-things and not just good things. It can be hard to tell the difference sometimes.

Church, pray with one another, build each other up, and remember that there is no lack when it comes to God; He has graced us with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit so that we can live this life in Christ Jesus. Submit yourselves as a holy and living sacrifice, acceptable to God (Romans 12:1). Be inspired! Amen.

Inspired by a new life,

Andrew L. Foster

  • robert miller"A year ago my world was shifted. I was discouraged, alone, and in need of something/someone to embrace me. It would be pious to say, “All I needed was the assurance that the Lord was with me,” because reality is sometimes you don’t feel that more

  • david owen"The newsletter is an integral part of my daily spiritual walk in prison. I don’t say that lightly and here’s why: “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV). The newsletter is primarily written by prisoners and ex-prisoners for more
