2015: Volume 4

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Letter from the Editor

Let us be reminded that we have a reason to give thanks because God displayed His ultimate love by sending His Son, Jesus, into this world to die for our sins, so that we may be saved and given eternal life. Please don’t ever let many moments pass by without realizing that Jesus is enough. A relationship with Jesus is sufficient and satisfying for our souls. Hallelujah! I encourage you to let your life be dictated by your circumstances, but to patiently endure with your eyes set on our eternal hope in Christ Jesus. That is a good place to be in the hustle and bustle of this season.

God has been incredible to Inspiration Ministries and as His Spirit and provision increases for this ministry, we are challenged to seek God and solidify the foundation of IM according to the Lord’s plans and perspective. Let’s go back to the beginning. During my five years in prison, God gave me the vision for Inspiration Ministries. However, even before the Lord gave me clarity on the name of the ministry, I had three experiences that formed my foundation:

  • I Acknowledged God – When my sins were posted on the wall and my life as I knew it slipping away, I started to understand that life is fleeting. I became a number instead of a name, and as I felt God calling me to something different, my significance diminished as I acknowledged a God with great significance. Proverbs 3:5-6 soon became a revelation for me.
  • I formed an Attitude of Gratitude – When I heard the Gospel, there was nothing I wanted more than to have new life, a freshness of spirit, and a promise that old things were going to pass away. 2 Corinthians 5:17 became my lifeblood and as a sinner I fell in love with God because of the salvation He afforded me through His Son Jesus Christ.
  • I became an Ambassador for Christ – As my relationship with Jesus was growing and life was being restored, the Lord opened my eyes one day and broke my heart with what was breaking His heart. 2 Corinthians 5 closes with telling us that because we are reconciled, He has given us the ministry of reconciliation. He desires to make an appeal through us!

Inspiration Ministries is celebrating four years of learning that Jesus Christ is enough. We praise Him for His vision, provision, and direction; furthermore we glorify Him for Who He is. He is an awesome God that will stop at nothing in pursuit of saving your soul. He is the one true God who gave His life so that all people have the opportunity to experience true life.

Inspired by a Savior willing to change us,

Andrew Foster, Inspiration Ministries, President & Founder

  • robert miller"A year ago my world was shifted. I was discouraged, alone, and in need of something/someone to embrace me. It would be pious to say, “All I needed was the assurance that the Lord was with me,” because reality is sometimes you don’t feel that more

  • david owen"The newsletter is an integral part of my daily spiritual walk in prison. I don’t say that lightly and here’s why: “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV). The newsletter is primarily written by prisoners and ex-prisoners for more
