Letter from the Editor

Oh happy day! Half of 2017 is over. Unbelievable! Well, there is one thing that you can be sure of…Andrew Foster will not be serving the second half of this year on probation. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, the Lord’s favor knows no bounds and on June 2, I was released from probation after completing 5 ½ years. Praise the Lord. Thank you to those that have been praying for me and Inspiration Ministries.

There are probably a couple ways to look at my life now. I am free of probation, so that I can do what I want or I can see it as a blessing from the Lord that He has released me from that supervision, but knowing that He desires still to have full control of my life. For me, probation was never a means to drive me towards doing the right thing. My desire since I have surrendered my life to Jesus Christ has been to do what would most glorify God and honor the sacrifice He made on my behalf. Understanding and submitting to authority the Lord has placed in our lives is important. In it we see God’s care for our lives as individuals, and we are given an opportunity to acknowledge Him as sovereign and gracious.

Life has certainly not slowed down. We are a few weeks away from officially opening the PlusONE House. This will be a transition house for men in NE Indiana. I wish we could plant houses all over the country. Perhaps we will one day, but for now our focus will be on those in our local community. With a little bit of plumbing, paint, and polyurethane we will be moving men in soon. We are excited to see the Lord using housing as a means of relationship which will ultimately lead to discipleship and the sharing of the Gospel. Inspiration Ministries is fortunate to be funded by personal supporters and our local churches so that we can be transparent about our understanding that Jesus is truly the answer to experience transformation and peace.

We are excited to include articles from great men of God with incredible testimonies of salvation, transformation, and service for the Lord. On this side of the wall, you’ll hear from Dan Evans from Harvest of Life Ministries and Greg Lamoureux, our Minstrel Minister. From Behind the Walls, you will read articles from Anthony Ponds and Christ Bachmann. Be inspired by the Lord’s work in the lives of these men, but also by knowing He wants to do the same in you.

Keep Kirsten, the kids, and I in your prayers as we renovate our first house. We have 4 ½ months to get done and it seems the days are flying by. We are currently living in a 5th wheel while the work is being done. It is not the most comfortable way to live, but we are glad to be together.

Until next time, remember that Jesus loves you and we love you. We are in this together! Be blessed knowing you are loved by the King! Hallelujah!

Be inspired,

Andrew L. Foster
