Tick 1
Tristan Davidson
I have seen many fruits from putting Jesus first in every area of my life.

I was born and raised in East Tennessee by my single mother and my older sister. I grew up going to church; some of my happiest childhood memories are from that time. In fact, my nickname “Tick” came from a man at church. At the age of eight my life began to change. My dad started coming around and during that time I acquired my first taste of drugs and alcohol. In my teenaged years, both my brother and dad passed away within a year and a half of each other. That ultimately led to my addictions growing and spiraling out of control. At the age of 22, I found myself sitting in jail with multiple felonies. I spent just over a year in county jail and got released to a residential program. I chose a faith-based program, where I began to form a relationship with Jesus. However, I didn’t take my relationship with the Lord seriously. I found myself in a relapse, so I moved away, but my troubles soon followed. Less than 2 years later I found myself homeless and completely broken.

I received a vision from the Lord of where my life was headed, and I knew it was time to change. In nine months, I went from a hopeless alcoholic to a redeemed son of God. I have seen many fruits from putting Jesus first in every area of my life. I am currently studying to obtain my ASE certification and I just came on staff at Inspiration Ministries as a mechanic. Everyday I’m able to pursue my passion of working on cars while spreading the love and sharing the hope that only can be found in Jesus. I am truly blessed and looking forward to this next season of life.
